Questions Thrall gets asked
When does World of Warcraft: Forever launch?
Forever launches November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST, as one simultaneous global moment.
Confirmed by Blizzard · Fact wf-0001
What is the level cap?
The level cap is 60, and it is intended to stay 60: progression is horizontal, with new content added inside levels 1-60 instead of raising the cap.
Confirmed by Blizzard · Fact wf-0053
What are the six new race/class combinations?
The six new combinations are Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, and Undead Paladin. A consequence: every class now exists on both factions - Alliance has Shaman (Dwarf only) and Horde has Paladin (Undead only).
Confirmed by Blizzard · Fact wf-0088
How does Battle for the Darkspear Islands work?
Darkspear Islands is a 15v15 battleground for levels 30-60, set off Dustwallow Marsh. You hold 4 capture points (more held = faster scoring) and carry the central flag to a base you control; first to 2,000 points wins.
Confirmed by Blizzard · Fact wf-0153
How do character names work in Forever?
Every character has a first name plus a second (last/surname) name. Only the full combination must be unique within your region; two players may share the same first name.
Confirmed by Blizzard · Fact wf-0027
Are raids available at launch?
No raids are available at launch. All three launch raids unlock December 9, 2026, at level 60, and are currently planned to reset weekly.
Confirmed by Blizzard · Fact wf-0174
What is the best class for PvP?
Kit-based community lists put Rogue, Mage, Warlock and Priest on top. The only measured dataset - the community Forever Open (level-30 Horde 1v1, about 4,600-5,000 duels, Oct 17-18) - put Paladin (62.8%) and Warlock (60.0%) first and Warrior last (38.5%), and Warlock took 1st and 2nd in the finals. For battlegrounds, healers (Priest/Shaman) are the common community pick. All of this is level-30 duel data, not battleground or level-60 data.
Community reports — not officially confirmed · Facts wf-0237, wf-0238 · Both shown: the guild does not pick a winner the data hasn't
Search the database
Every result shows how sure we are: Confirmed by Blizzard, reported by reputable sources, community reports, or not yet published. Where sources conflict, both claims print.
The database doesn't have that one yet.
That is exactly what #ask-thrall is for. In Discord, Thrall takes the question, researches it from primary sources, answers with his work shown — and the answer gets written back into the database for the next person.
How Thrall answers
Database first
Thrall answers from the verified facts — 258 admitted entries plus 189 source-linked claims from the evidence ledger — with the confidence tier stated in plain language. No tier, no answer.
Contradictions shown, not merged
28 facts carry conflict flags. When sources disagree, Thrall prints both claims with their provenance. The guild would rather show an argument than hide one.
Research is the fallback, not the style
If the database can't answer, Thrall researches live — Blizzard first, then reputable secondary, community labeled as community — and the durable finding is written back into the database.
