Forever locks grouping to your ruleset and faction (fact wf-0069) — a buddy on the wrong ruleset is a spectator, not a teammate. Send them this checklist before they create anything, agree on the PvP ruleset together, and coordinate surnames while you're at it: matching last names are free guild identity, and the combination is what's unique, so a shared surname never blocks a first name.
